Hi everyone, so as we head into March I start to get exited as the OCR season has started. I have my first Spartan race is in 5 weeks. I will racing in the age group category for the Super which is 14km, so I will take off at 7:30 for that one. I will have a little break and head off for the sprint which is 5km. On Sunday I will take part in the Hurricane Heat which is a 4 hour endurance event.
My training has increased over the last 6 weeks to build up my strength, I am hoping to do the least amount of burpees possible and get the best time that I can.
This next 4 weeks I am increasing my cardio while still building up my strength. I believe it is all about finding the right training combination for yourself while training for these events as you need to have strength to conquer the obstacles but also the ability to tackle the hills.
As you know I am very passionate about these events and would love for you to join me for a couple this year. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the events or what training you will need. Fit Stuff and EP training is perfect plus I would be happy to chat and give you some more training ideas that are specific to OCR events.

#Ultimate8 hit’s the half way mark!
The #Ultimate8 challenge kicked off just over 4 weeks ago and the results are going to be epic. We have been following the journey of two of our challengers and will release their video diary at the end. So far the challengers have hit the beach, rode the trails, hiked the hills, bounced through Ninja Warrior and found their Zen with yoga. The food journey kicked off with dinner at Elysium followed by individual meal plans and weekly food challenges to keep them on track.
They have just completed their mid way fitness test and it looks like they are #stickingtothedamnplan.
